What We Do. G.U.E.S.T. stands for "Gloucester United Emergency Shelter Team" Day Shelter & Resource Center: The Day Shelter provides a safe space during the day for the homeless to keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Guests have free access to shower facilities, laundry facilities, hot meals, and Wi-Fi. Guests can also receive public transportation ride vouchers to assist in traveling to appointments and shelter. Winter Overnight Shelter: The Winter Shelter Program is hosted by local churches and civic organizations for one week at a time, rotating every Monday to a new location during the months of December, January, February, and March. Family Shelter: The Family Shelter Program provides emergency shelter for families with underage children. GUEST aims to keep the entire family together while connecting families to local support and resources.
Motel Voucher Program: The Motel Voucher Program is available on a limited basis for emergency shelter when the Winter Shelter Program is not available.
